The rumours are flying around about who has been invited to trail for a TT team! The new Trans Tasman league which will be running with teams from Australia and New Zealand franchises is being established and is set to raise the bar. Part of the rationale behind introducing this league is that these two top countries want to keep pushing their players and coaches to improve...
There is no doubt that the standard of our athletes have improved through the introduction of the SuperLeague, as foreign players start appearing in our matches, maybe this is the start of more movement between countries as England is seen as a suitable place for athletes to play because our competition has gotten so much better!
During the World Championships there were scouts out and about picking names for invitations to trial for the new competition. It is rumoured that certain England players have been asked to go along and test themselves to see if they have what it takes to make it down under. This means that some of our top internationals might not be back to play in our very own co-operative SuperLeague. We look forward to bringing you the news regarding any players that are staying abroad as soon as stories are confirmed!
