European Championships 2008

The England Netball focus now turns to the European Championships this Spring where Open, U21, U19 and U17 squads will be competing for the top spots. The selection process for these squads has already started as trials took place on Sunday December 16th in Bath but no announcements have been released yet. The selections will resume in January when the Talent players face trials for their squads.

This Christmas period is a crucial time for athletes to catch up with their families but also stay ready to step on court in mid-January for their trials, so SuperLeague resuming so quickly after the winter break is useful as it will get everybody back into the swing of playing before the trials in Sheffield.

Mavericks currently have a number of players involved in the talent system who will be
trialing in January and we look forward to bringing you news of how they get on.
