Mavericks at U17 & U19 European Champs!

Mavericks are keen to wish the England Under 17 and Under 19 Squads good luck this coming week end as they travel to Cardiff and Dublin respectively to try to win back the European Champioship Trophies.

Paula Gant and Abi Ryan will be competing under Kendra Slawinski in Dublin this week in Ireland as they help to make up part of the defensive unit for the England Under 19's squad. Paula and Abi have both represented the Mavericks senior and youth teams over the last two seasons and Abi went to South Africa on the Under 21 tour last summer. We look forward to hearing how they perform! This event is Paula's first time representing England.
Both Zoe Murdoch and Sophia Candappa were picked up
through the England selection process in the December of the
last two seasons. Zoe went to Malta last year and competed in
the European Champs but this Sophia's first appearance in an
England Squad.It is a great honour to lay for your country but Mavericks also had a number of players who were involved in the Talent system this season who were unsuccessful in gaining a squad place. We are extremely proud of all our players and wish them lots of luck in every event they compete in but we must admit that a special wish of luck goes out to our young England players this                                  week. Jo Munnion & Helene Hall will be leading the U17's as their coaches.
