National Screening

The selections from National Screening have been announced on the England Netball website and quite a few players in and around the East Region have been successful.

This weekend had been a busy one for some Mavericks personnel – on Saturday it was the play offs in Sheffield and on Sunday there was the National Selection for the Under 19 and Under 17 age groups in Bath. Jo Munnion, Mavericks Youth Coach was organising and selecting the event and Maggie Jackson, Senior Mavericks Coach with her National Selectors hat on was also picking players. Several young Mavericks and East Region players had been selected for the screening and attended the day of match play – these were:

The Talent Squads are likely to change as the athletes enter the Easter Camp. Remember that athletes can be introduced or dropped from any squad throughout the season. This is a fantastic accomplishment for these athletes and we wish them the best of luck in the 2008/9 season.
