Maggie Jackson went back to her old school to open up their new multi-sports court at Clacton High School. Although Maggie has left the area she always insists that she is an Essex girl at heart! This article appeared in the Clacton Gazette.

Mavericks Youth players assisted at the recent Bedford & District Junior Netball League Spotlight event. This event was a celebration of young people involved in netball. There were two exhibition matches, one High 5’s Years 5/6, and one Years 7/8 match, both matches were umpired by young umpires, (3 x 16 year olds and 1 x 17 year old). Mavericks Youth players manned the Officials Table acting as timers and scorers and made all the announcements over the PA, to finish the afternoon off they presented the trophies and awards to the 07/08 Winners and Runners Up of both the League and Cup competitions.
Mavericks & Saracens Coaches at St Albans Girls School
A lucky group of children at St Albans Girls School spent the morning with a Saracens Rugby Coach and Mavericks own Magge Jackson as they took part in a variety of activities. Three secondary schools and five primary schools took part in the Saracens Saturday Sport Morning as part of an eight week programme giving children a chance to try lots of sports.

Friday 4 July - Shana and Adele accompanied Gloria Keech to Suffolk County Academy Awards Evening at the Kesgrave Community Centre in Ipswich, to present individual Awards to selected Academy Players.
