Mavericks Youth 2008/9

Mavericks are very excited to announce the new Mavericks Youth squad for 2008/9 NTL season. This talented group attended a trial on 7th September and following some senior selections the group will be finally confirmed later this week. The selection choices show a mixture of England Talent players and club players from the East and surrounding areas. Congratulations to all the players, this was definitely the toughest Mavericks Youth trial that we have ever seen! A big thank you to the umpires, selectors and organisers of this day, in particular Chris Laundy (Regional Head Scout), Emily & Jan (Trial Managers) and Mavericks staff (Maggie Jackson, Jo Munnion, Sam Bird, Anne-Marie Muller and Jane Milbourn).

These players will be working with an extremely impressive bunch of coaches... Head Coach Jo Munnion (England Under 19 Head Coach) will have Sam Bird (last season Mavericks Assistant Coach) as well as a coaches across Bedford, Essex, Middlesex and Cambridge.
The Mavericks Youth players will also be completing Extension Centre training which concentrates on personal development of their skills and understanding. There is an extremely talented and established group of coaches all set to work with this group:
