MY vs Crosskeys

On 16th November Crosskeys Senior Regional Team brought a squad of 14 players to play against Mavericks Youth at Herts Sports Village. The team are currently preparing for their first fixture of the season taking place in Sheffield at the EIS (English Instittute of Sport) on Saturday 5th December.
 
The new Mavericks Youth squad worked extremely hard throughout the 60 minutes. Although this was their first fixture and the final score was Mavericks 47 - Crosskeys 29. Both teams played extremely well and everyone enjoyed it, including all the supporters that were watching.

Mavericks Youth would like to thank Crosskeys for giving up their time to come and play, and would like to wish them all the best of luck for the season.

This is one example of how local top teams and Mavericks work together to help develop both NTL/NSL and club players. Recently Turnford and a range of players from other East high flying teams such as Thoroughbreads supplied players to attend a senior training session in preparation for the Fastnet Tournament. There are other teams planned to come along and challenge our fantastic squads. Mavericks are very proud of their links with clubs and coaches in the East Region.
