Mavericks Applications 2009/10

Our franchise is always striving to improve and every season we have an open appointment process where players and staff can apply to become a part of our special group. Below we have appications for Mavericks and Mavericks Youth players, Mavericks & Mavericks Youth Coaches and Mavericks Managers... oh yes, and how to get involved if you would like to be a part of our franchise but not in these specific roles - become a Maverick!

Mavericks Player Application

For the fourth consecutive season Mavericks has finished the NSL in the top two! This is an absolutley fantastic achievement and we are now looking towards 2009/10. All applications must be recieved by 24th August and trials will take place on 3rd and 10th September 2009 from 7:30 - 9:30pm at the Hertfordshire Sports Village. Please note: all applicants are eligable to attend a Mavericks fitness session at Bisham Abbey on Monday 20th July from 7 - 9pm, this has changed from the original venue. Good luck!

Mavericks Youth Player Application

We work hard to link in with our partner region and following the Netball East Regional Screening certain talented players from the East will be invited to trial for Mavericks Youth this coming season. There are other ways to qualify to trial but please make sure you read the trial form carefully as we can only accept eligable players. The trial will take place on Saturday 18th July 2009 at the Hertfordshire Sports Village. All forms must be received by 12pm on Friday 10th July 2009 . Please note: Mavericks have changed their age banding to match the NTL regulations which means that the cut off date is now 31st August and not 31st December as in previous seasons.

Mavericks & Mavericks Youth Coach Application

These exciting positions are advertised every season as they are open for any suitable coach to apply. There is no doubt that that the coaching staff rank as some of the most hard working people involved in any franchise and these opportuntities offer coaches the chance to work with some of the most talented players available in the country. Mavericks is an independent franchise and so all coaching and support roles are voluntary.

Mavericks Coach Application Form 2009/10

The appointment process - All forms must be submitted by Friday 12th June 2009, 12:00pm to Gloria Keech. All application forms will be reviewed by the Mavericks Application Committee and candidates may be contacted for a telephone or face to face interview, all coaches will informed by Friday 26th June 2009, 5:00pm by phone call. All positions are subject to CRB checks.

Mavericks Manager Application

Managers are key support staff in the success of any squad. They complete key tasks off-court and are deeply involved in the organisation of the squad as well as supporting the coach in whatever capacity is required.

Do not worry if your talents do not lie in playing, coaching or managing... running a franchise takes plenty of different skills and we are always looking to expand our staff base to make Mavericks the best it can be!
