Well, I can&rsqu28 June, 2010it and thinking about the first pre-match team chant: GO MAVERICKS! Having been a dedicated member of the Hurricanes squad for 6 years in total (Supercup and Superleague), coming to the rivals has been a big step. But, as they say a big change is as good as a holiday…so bring on the sun, sea and sangria!

On Friday I travelled to the EIS in Sheffield, as Mavericks’ representative, to take part in the filming of Sky TV‘s opening sequence for their coverage of the NSL. For a player who has been 'off the netball scene' for three years, I was to have a little taste of just how much the game has moved on since I last played at this level.
The Co-operative Netball Olympic Bid

As part of The Co-operative’s bid to have netball played at the Olympic Games, the largest community retailer in the UK is asking its customers to support the campaign by voting in their in-store ‘chip and pin’ survey, where The Co-operative is aiming to smash the 500,000 supporters barrier. The bid already has the support of Prime Minister, Gordon Brown - who has indicated his desire for netball to become a demonstration sport at the London 2012 Olympics.
