Welcome to the Ultimate Netball Club

23rd April 2019

On Saturday 6th April was the last game of the season for Saracens Mavericks Under 21’s team who faced Team Bath Under 21’s and they were determined to finish on a win.

The day didn’t start the way the girls had originally planned with 2 girls falling ill the night before; the team of 12 quickly became a team of 10 but they were not afraid to step up a gear and bring more intensity into their play.

After a rocky 1st quarter from both teams the end result was a levelling 15 all.

Going into the 2nd quarter the Saracens girls knew that patience and possession was going to be their key component for the rest of this game. This strategy proved near faultless as we progressed to then win the next quarter and take the lead at half time.

With only a few changes here and there during the next half of the game saw the Saracens U21’s getting all 10 players on the court and win the game with a comfortable score line of 66-53.

Players Tash Pavelin earning Player’s Player of the game in her last ever match as an Under 21 and Coaches Player going to Captain Paige McCalla who had a shooting percentage of 92%.

Saracens Mavericks Under 21’s would like to thank the coaches and their parents for continued support and encouragement during this 2019 NPL season and we look forward to competing at the NPL tournament in July.
