Round 4 Preview: Hertfordshire Mavericks V Yorkshire Jets

Following a strong 62-45 win over Team Northumbria, our Mavericks team will have had 12 days to prepare for the match up against Yorkshire Jets tomorrow.  The Mavericks coaching team have used this time to work the squad hard, focusing on those elements of our game we are looking to improve on.  With 3 wins from 3 under our belts we go into this game with confidence but having not rested on our laurels.

This being Jets first home game in Leeds, we know they will be looking for their first win and that the crowd will be behind them.  So tomorrow we hit the road early for the long trip up to Leeds, feeling confident but knowing we are facing a team hungry for the win.

As we head into this match in such a strong early position, we are laser focused on maintaining the team’s winning resolve and ensuring they continue to battle together to up their performance once again.  We expect Jets defence to be rock solid and our team will be looking to go out strong from the first centre pass and dominate in all areas of the court.  Strong attacking units will be paramount with the feed into the circle needing to be on point at all times.  The defensive units will also be looking to turnover as much ball as possible.

Coach Sam Bird said, “Jets have shown they have quality in their side. We have done our homework and worked hard this week. It's tough playing away from home, but we are up for the challenge and hoping to secure our fourth win from four.”
