Mavericks is a Netball Superleague franchise based in the East Region but its players come from a variety of areas including London. The squad was established in 2005 when the Netball SuperLeague competition began.

This season 2009/10 Mavericks is very proud to be sponsored by the Unversity of Hertfordshire.



In 2009/10 Mavericks is excited to have long standing Mavericks international stars such as Karen Atkinson and Louisa Brownfield and Naida Hutchinson as well as a range of ex-internationals including Naomi Stenhouse & Amanda Newton. There is also a host of young England Excel players throughout both squads.

Mavericks also have an amazing coaching team this season including Maggie Jackson as Head Coach, Karen Atkinson and Amanda Newton as Player Assistant Coaches and Jo Webb (nee Munnion) as Technical Coach. Mavericks Youth Head Coach this season is Sam Bird with Tracey Pennell and Maggie Tetsola assisting.

Mavericks has a number of England senior and youth players that also compete internationally. You can see these competitions by buying tickets from the event organisers, to find out more at the England Netball website. All of the senior matches contribute to England's international ranking.

Each team plays the others twice in the league round and then the top four go through to Play Offs at the end of the season to battle for the CNSL title!
