Mavericks is a Netball Superleague franchise based in the East Region but its players come from a variety of areas. The squad was established in 2005 when the Netball SuperLeague competition began. Over the last two seasons Mavericks have successfully come runners-up in the NSL.

This season Mavericks has international stars such as Naomi Siddall (Mavericks Captain), Amanda Newton (Mavericks Vice-Captain & England Captain) as well as Karen Atkinson (England Vice-Captain), Louisa Brownfield. and Clare Elsley. There are also a host of young England Talent players throughout both squads.

After a challenging World Championships in New Zealand this November, our England players are set to return and continue the hard work on court in 2008. Karen Atkinson has been contracted to play in the new ANZ league!

Mavericks boasts an amazing coaching team including Maggie Jackson (ex-England Assistant Coach), Kendra Slawinski OBE (England U19 Coach), Sam Bird & Helen Lonsdale. The youth squad has Jo Munnion (England U17 Coach) and Helene Hall (England U17 Assistant Coach).

The Netball Talent League Season 2007/8 has come to an end and the Mavericks Youth Squad have come Runners-Up and been very successful only losing one match (Team Bath by 1) and drawing one other (West Midlands). Well done to all players and staff.
