Mavericks is a Netball Superleague franchise based in the East Region but its players come from a variety of areas including London. The squad was established in 2005 when the Netball SuperLeague competition began.

In 2009/10 Mavericks is excited to have long standing Mavericks international stars such as Karen Atkinson and Louisa Brownfield and Naida Hutchinson as well as a range of ex-internationals including Naomi Stenhouse & Amanda Newton. There is also a host of young England Excel players throughout both squads.

Mavericks also have an amazing coaching team this season including Maggie Jackson as Head Coach, Karen Atkinson and Amanda Newton as Player Assistant Coaches and Jo Webb (nee Munnion) as Technical Coach. Mavericks Youth Head Coach this season is Sam Bird with Tracey Pennell and Maggie Tetsola assisting.

Mavericks has a number of England senior and youth players that also compete internationally. You can see these competitions by buying tickets from the event organisers, to find out more at the England Netball website. All of the senior matches contribute to England's international ranking.

	Do you want to be a Maverick? Trials & Applications 2010/11 Getting to the final every year since Superleague started is a massive achievement but obviously winning the NSL is the ultimate goal! This takes a huge amount of commitment on and off the court. We are now looking towards season 2010/11 and recruiting players and volunteers to be part of our special franchise, so if you think you have what it takes to be a Maverick then get in touch. 	End of Season Celebrations! There certainly is a lot to celebrate this season! The Youth team came Runners-Up in the Netball Talent League and as well as a whole host of individual achievements (both internationally and domestically) our senior side proved that the "development" ethos of Mavericks works as once again we made it to the Grand Final. 	Five Finals... Five finals out of five but Hertfordshire Mavericks are once again the bridesmaids as they lose 44-51 to Team Bath in the final! A great start that Hertfordshire Mavericks had aimed for as they ignored the hype and focussed on this next match. 3-0 was the score before Team Bath got on the score sheet and for the initial ten minutes Hertfordshire Mavericks forced the defending champions... match report
	Youth Runners-Up 09/10!
